All across the world, ...increasingly dangerous weather patterns and devastating storms are abruptly putting an end to the long-running debate over whether or not climate change is real. Not only is it real, it's here, and its effects are giving rise to a frighteningly new global phenomenon: the man-made natural disaster. - Barack Obama
Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist. - Harold Lewis
Having lived a long time, I have been aware of changes in the climate and disasters destroying towns, cities, and regions. Natural phenomena like floods, forest fires, extreme heat, and extreme cold have been around since the planet was formed. What makes scientists think people have control over the climate?
Long before the climate activists started hawking their theories about how man was destroying the planet, we had scientific explanations for why these changes were happening. These logical and proven concepts were accepted worldwide.
Once the climate activists realized they could become wealthy by putting forth the theory that man was responsible for climate disasters across the world, the game was afoot. It did not start with Al Gore, but he sure put the pedal to the metal. SUVs and pick-up trucks were put into the crosshairs of the global warming crowd. The hype was that they polluted the atmosphere and blocked the sun with their exhaust.
Big cars, SUVs, and pick-up trucks had to go to save the planet! Never mind that diesel-fed buses, airplanes, and jets cause way more exhaust pollution. The mainstream media came on board, and the hype kicked up a gear. Eventually, the political parties and the government saw the light, and they became climate change activists too. The goal was to cut back on the production of oil in the US and switch our energy reliance to electricity.
Alternatives to cheap and plentiful oil, gas, and nuclear power are windmills, solar panels, and our outdated electrical grid. None of these alternatives to oil-based fuels is viable, but the activists plead, cry, and shout to make us bend to their will, even though we know these solutions will not work.
"Modern doomsayers have been predicting climate and environmental disaster since the 1960s. They continue to do so today. None of the apocalyptic predictions with due dates as of today have come true. What follows is a collection of notably wild predictions from notable people in government and science." 1

"For more than 50 years Climate Alarmists in the scientific community and environmental movement have not gotten even one prediction correct, but they do have a perfect record of getting 41 predictions wrong. In other words, on at least 41 occasions, these so-called experts have predicted some terrible environmental catastrophe was imminent … and it never happened. And not once — not even once! — have these alarmists had one of their predictions come true."
"Think about that… the so-called experts are 0-41 with their predictions, but those of us who are skeptical of “expert” prediction number 42, the one that says that if we don’t immediately convert to socialism and allow Alexandria Ocasio-Crazy to control and organize our lives, the planet will become uninhabitable. Why would any sane person listen to someone with a 0-41 record? Why would we completely restructure our economy and sacrifice our personal freedom for “experts” who are 0-41, who have never once gotten it right? And if that’s not crazy enough, the latest ploy is to trot out a 16-year-old girl to spread prediction number 42, because it is so much more credible that way." 2
You will find some interesting quotes in the article by Myron Ebell and Steven J. Milloy in the references below. Not only did these theories get legs, but they got up and ran with the lies and are still being foisted on us to this day.
