Donald Trump was jumping for joy when he found out what just happened to Fani Willis
The media has inundated us with the spurious claims presented by the Fulton County DA,
Fani Willis about how Donald Trump tried to influence the 2020 election. Now we are pounded with news about the corruption of Fani Willis to the point where we need to call a time-out to figure out what is going on and what just happened.
To set the stage: Fani Willis got elected because she claimed she would indict and convict Donald Trump for asking Georgia State Attorney General Brad Raffensperger to find enough votes to win the State of Georgia in the 2020 election. Trump called this a "Perfect phone call." I think Trump could have posed the question to Rafensperger differently so it would not look as though Trump was trying to manufacture votes when there were no other votes.
So this is what put the wheels in motion for Fani Willis to prosecute Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants. It seemed like a slam dunk to make a name nationally for herself and propel her to high office in the government. She might make a great senator or even governor if Stacy Abrams would move out of the way.
Not so fast, Fani. It looks like you colored outside the lines and the good people of Georgia are catching on to your hijinks or should I say downright malfeasance. Let's look at some facts.
Fani Willis charged Donald Trump and 18 others with election interference.
Fani Willis paid neophyte prosecutor Nathan Wade, $650,000 to prosecute the Trump case. This was billed at $250 per hour when the going rate was $150 per hour. So much for hiring the lowest bidder in Fulton County.
It turns out Wade was not qualified to prosecute a RICO case, especially of this magnitude involving a former President and present candidate for President.
Wade used the money to take Willis on romantic vacations purchasing plane tickets and cruise fares. I doubt Willis thought this would ever be discovered because she did not think she would be caught cheating on the county and Wade cheating on his wife.
Wade started divorce proceedings with his now estranged wife, Jocelyn Wade, a day after Willis hired him as special prosecutor. 1
Willis is forced to testify in the Wade divorce case but Fani claims that will spoil her chances to win the case against Trump and his co-defendants. (Sorry Fani, you are involved in this divorce.)
Willis is facing a hearing in Fulton County Superior Court to disqualify her from the Trump case over her improper relationship. 2
Information from a credit card ties Willis with Natan Wade linking two flights for Willis and Wade to go on two Royal Caribbean cruises. This could be the key evidence to disqualify Fani from continuing as DA in Fulton County. 3
Articles of Impeachment are filed against Fani Willis by State Representative Charlice Byrd a Republican. 4 See footnote 5
Fani Willis has her work cut out for her to climb out of this mess, but never underestimate the fact that most Democrats can escape penalties and punishment simply because they always stick together and are virtually untouchable.
