Do They Donate To the Woke?

Most of the things we buy are made in China. Our clothes, medicine, food, tools...the list goes on. We try to buy

American-made products usually cost more because we pay more in wages. Now we have another millstone to wear around our necks. Where are their charitable donations going? We know about Disney, Anheuser-Busch, Black Rock, Coka Cola, IBM, Pay Pal, Target, and many other companies that support LGBTQ+ people. Statistics show that the number of transgender people in the United States runs around 0.5-1.6% depending on who does the polling. Let's face it, folks, that's not a lot of people who fit that category of individuals who require donations from big businesses.

Bud Light learned a lesson from using Dylan Mulvaney to advertise their product. I know we can not stop buying from every business that is woke, but I have become aware of a product that just pisses me off.

My father used Gillette shavers and blades all his life here in America. We used to hear their commercials on the radio supporting sports events. Later, they had catchy commercials on television, and they made a great product. They went woke, and I stopped buying Gillette razors. I found Harry's Razor Company. Now to my dismay, I find that Harry's has gone woke, which really annoys me.

Most of the donations that Harry's makes are for worthy causes. They focus on mental health. However, there is this:

Gillette pioneered the concept of using a five-blade razor with a tilting head. This produces a very smooth shave. Based in

Boston, Massachusetts, a Proctor and Gamble subsidiary, Gillette has several models, and the Fusion5 is top-of-the-line. Gillette also has the Mach 3 model and several razors designed just for women. You might wonder, Why the five blades? In my research, I learned that the first blade pulls the hair up. The second blade cuts the hair, and what is left of the hair slips down back into the hair follicle. The next set of blades repeats the action. This and the tilting head made the new razors a hit with men and women. Five-blade replacement blades cost much more than any other daily shaving device. There was room for competition.

The copycats came after Gillette, and we have a slew of look-likes that compete with the leader, Gillette. To boycott Gillette, who had gone woke, I purchased a Harry's Razor and was completely satisfied with the brand.

Now I face a dilemma, should I look for a non-woke razor brand or suck it up and give up. The money I spend on blades supports a way of life I do not advocate. I went on a research bender looking for a non-woke company and hopefully American-made. Find the link below. 1 Unfortunately, as informative as this article is, it does not solve my quest. After some more research, I did find some answers. Now my question is, what to do about it? A simple solution is to purchase Bic disposable razors. Bic has competed against Gillette with razors, pens, and lighters. Bic won the pen wars and held their own with the others. Bics are manufactured in Canada, the U.S., and Guatemala. To my knowledge, the company of German origin is not woke. This product is a throw-away item and does not appeal to me unless I travel, so more research was needed.

Next, I refer you to another article in the Chicago Tribune by Ciera Pasturel. 2 This article is about Safety Razors and gives the nod to Vikings Blade as best. Gillette has second and "Best Buy." Third is Merkur, a German company, and Merkur is not woke. 3 Replacement blades are much more affordable but do not last as long as the multi-blade models. The Shark brand of replaceable safety razor blades runs $6.98 for 100 blades. These blades last from two to four shaves.

There are other razors and blades available, some from Japan. The Merkur looks good, but I am not sold on a safety razor. Remember, I started shaving with a Gillette safety razor.

Imagine my surprise while watching Gutfeld on Fox, and one of his guests was David Angelo, a comedian and Co-owner of Western Razor Company, USA.! Angelo and his partner are hands-on owners. Chances are they have handled the razor you buy. A safety razor with five replacement blades sells for $60.00. Refills of blades cost $14.00 for 50 count. 4

Another option is the Jeremy's Razor brand. This is a quote from their site.

Harry’s and the Daily Wire had a deal. They paid us. We advertised their razors.

But after we said that boys are boys and girls are girls, they publicly condemned our views as “inexcusable” and dropped their ads because of what they called “values misalignment”.

As you can see from the quote above, they are not woke.

What shall I do? Should I just shut up, stick with Harry's razor, and continue to fund the woke agenda? Or should I go back in time and buy a Western Razor, Merkur Razor, or Jeremy's Razor 5? If the next time you see me, I have some facial nicks and cuts, you will know I switched.

Addendum to this blog:

I made a decision to purchase a Jeremy's Razor. It is on the way to me as I type this. My Jeremy's Razor has arrived. I have not tried it yet. Unfortunately, razor and blades are made in China. I called them to issue a protest. Jeremey's is not "worke" so I have that going for me.

Recently it came to my attention that your company has gone “woke.” After perusing your website I find that you have made a commitment to help individuals with mental illness. This is a noble cause.

Your commitment to the LGBTQ+ who make up between 0.5 and 1.5% of our society shows me that you have indeed gone over to the “Woke Ideology,” A Marxist policy to help take down our republic.
