“Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.”
― Niccolò Machiavelli, The Prince
Those who know me have heard me say that I would call out the Jew if he was wrong no matter what. This flies in the face of sticking together. When your leaders are not just wrong, but dead wrong, I must speak up; even if it is a Jew making the statement.
Majority Leader Schumer has every right to speak his mind. This is America and we have the right to make our opinion heard. However, when he used the Well of the Senate to call for regime change in Israel, Schumer went too far. His premise was ill-guided and he represented the American People when he spoke from the bully pulpit in the Senate.
We all know that Hamas perpetrated horrible acts of barbarism on the State of Israel on October 7th. One would need to look long and hard to find comparable acts of terrorism in the pages of history. Israel is faced with no other choice but to strike back and wipe out the butchers of Gaza. To do nothing is to invite even more terror and misery.
The people of Gaza know what the Jews are like. Some 20,000 of them were allowed to cross over into Israel every day to work. Even if the Palestinians believed the Jews were descended from apes, it was OK to work for them. Did the workers bring back stories of kindness and friendship from their dealings with Israelis? Probably not. The Palestinians went to work in Israel for better-paying jobs, not because they liked their bosses. The Israelis can't all be Simon Legrees. If the Jews were that bad, why did the workers continue to cross the border and work for the hated, evil Jew?
Now after five months of cleaning out the scum that inflicted this terror, we have Chuck Schumer calling for the resignation of Benjamin Netanyahu who is leading the effort to wipe out Hamas in Gaza. Netanyahu and his government are effective at rooting out the terrorists. Some members of the Israeli government, including Benny Ganz, opposed Netanyahu in the past but they are united in their task to rid the area of Hamas.
"Reuters reports 99 of 120 lawmakers voted to support the declaration passed earlier this week by the cabinet. Nine people voted against." 1
Unfortunately, civilians are being killed.
This is war! Israel did not ask for this. Hamas descended on them like locusts and burned babies, raped women, killed indiscriminately and took prisoners. The Hamas killers reveled in their destruction and killing. Hamas gleefully enjoyed the killing and torture.
The Israelis have done their best to warn the population of Gaza to get out of the area to be invaded. Hamas keeps the people there to make sure they get more Gazans wounded and killed by Israelis.
For Chuck Schumer to lower himself to appease the Hamas sympathizer fringe in America is more than I can stomach. It is not so much that I disagree with virtually everything Schumer stands for, he is still a US Senator and he represents our country. I am appalled that he has bowed so low to mollify Hamas sympathizers in Michigan. Chuck, is this what you believe? That if Netanyahu is kicked out all will be well? Hell no! This will not make it better. The Israelis will not cease fire to let your fellow terrorists regroup and refit to fight harder another day.
I am ashamed that Schumer is a Jew. I am appalled that he would call for Netanyahu to resign or be voted out. The Biden Administration wants the Hamas sympathizers to vote for Joe in November. I am appalled that they trot out Chuck Schumer to call for regime change in Israel, a democratically elected President of a close ally in the Middle East. The Democrats have gone coo coo.
