Not so fast Abe...Joe Biden is not going anywhere, for now. The Biden debacle did not surprise me. We have seen it before. Joe Biden is not up to the job. Joe fell apart between 11 and 13 minutes into his first chance to answer a question in the presidential debate. Biden babbled on just like someone who is not in control of his faculties. It never got better and Biden will not be able to put the genie back in the bottle.
Biden has been doing this for months and Fox News has played the clips over and over again. Not so much the Democrat News Networks. The Fake News has tried to cover for Joe, the handlers have kept Joe out of the public eye but his gaffs and goofs are all over the place. All you had to do was watch and listen.
How could the Democrats allow this to happen?
First, they underestimated Donald Trump who accepted their terms for a debate that favored Joe Biden. Trump fooled them by accepting their offer. Second, I think the Democrats thought they could swamp Trump with two left-wing commentators who had called Trump Hitler, and Joe Biden. That would be three against one in a closed venue. There would be no audience. They would surround Trump like a pack of wolves and tear him to pieces with questions that would make Trump look bad. To be fair, the moderators were on their best behavior and did not try to trip up Trump. Third, they sequestered Biden for 7 days at Camp David, feeding him lines and answers so Joe could beat Trump down. We now know that CNN gave the questions to the Bidden team in advance so Joe had the advantage of knowing what the moderators were going to ask. Townhall took down the acknowledgment that CNN gave Biden the questions so I can't list the source properly. 1
It doesn't take a psychiatrist to figure out that Joe could not put their answers to good use and pound away at Trump. Biden simply choked when forced to deal with Donald Trump. At times it seemed as though Biden had zoned out in La La Land.
How could Biden's handlers not know this was going to happen? The President was holed up at Camp David for seven days! My first thought was they did it on purpose to force Joe out of office. However, this train of thought was wrong. They all just missed it. Biden"s emotions just got the better of him and he simply could not function in the presence of Donald Trump. The blank stares, the mumbling and not knowing where he was were not a surprise to me, but the fear and loathing of Trump left Biden defenseless. And that surprised me.
The Moderator had to save Joe a couple of times. 50 million viewers were stunned to see the leader of the most powerful country in the world just fall apart.
What about Donald Trump? The former president was on his game and made dramatic hits at Biden's failures namely the economy, the border, abortion, the military, and Afganistan. Trump hammered away asking, "Did you fire anybody?" Alluding to the incompetence of General Millie, Alejandro Mayorkas, Tony Bilinken, Lloyd Austin, and others.
Biden tried to bait him, but Trump was measured and calm. Trump had excellent control of his emotions. The contrast between the debators was immense. Trump was presidential and Biden was for the most part incoherent.
Unless you are living in a cave you know the media is flummoxed. The Democrats are in disarray. The pundits are throwing Biden under the bus but the question remains. What can the Democrats do about this mess? The Democrats caused this problem and they did not think two steps ahead. Kamala Harris is next in line and they do not want her to take Joe's place. She is polling worse than Biden, a terrible candidate, and few in the Party like her.
Joe has 99% of the delegates to the Democrat Convention and they must vote for the winner of their primary on the first vote. That would be Joe Biden. After the first vote, the delegates can vote for whomever they choose. This is the Liberal dilemma. How do they get Joe out and not get stuck with Kamala? Never fear, the Democrats will find a way out of this dilemma. If they don't, the thought of Trump winning the presidency is simply too much to take. To say the game is afoot is an understatement.
