Are There Similarities Between the Georgia and Michigan Election Rule Changes?

Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything.

Some of you may read the Georgia Pundent. His article in today's offering has come to my attention. Eleven of Michigan's lawmakers are suing Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and the Michigan Director of the Bureau of Elections, Jonathan Brater, in Federal Court for violating the US and Michigan Constitution to change election laws.

Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Rafensperger

Let's review a little history first. If you recall, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Rafensperger, former Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, former Attorney General Chis Carr, Stacy Abrams, and perhaps Governor Brian Kemp were involved in changing Georgia's election laws. Governor Kemp had to sign off on it even if he was not in on the negotiations. He was and still is the boss.

It was the Pandemic, and no one knew what would happen. People were getting sick, and many were dying. The 2020 election was almost upon us, and people were afraid to leave the house for fear of catching Covid-19. Secretary Rafensperger and the others thought they needed an emergency plan to make voting easier. The group devised some novel ideas and enacted the plans by edict.

Mail-in ballots were sent to voters living or dead, in-state residents, and out-of-state residents. Out-of-state former residents also got ballots. I received two or three ballots. Ballot drop boxes were placed in specific neighborhoods with no supervision to make voting more convenient. Whatever happened to the secret ballot? Early voting days were extended to seventeen. Previously, in Georgia, a form of identification was required for voting in person but not for voting absentee ballot by mail. The new Georgia law requires some identification to vote.

Ballot harvesting was allowed. Operatives would go into nursing homes or residences for the aged and get them to fill out ballots with the ballot gatherer's help. Then, the operative would take the votes to the drop boxes. Could Trump be right? Was the election rigged? There were more shenanigans at the election sites; however, that is not part of this discussion.

Carey Alligood, our Registrar of Voters in Toombs County, was informed of the new changes to the voting procedure by the Board of Elections. Alligood says, "The new rules were not mandatory." She could implement the new options or not as she saw fit. Ms. Alligood said she did not think in our county that putting drop boxes around the county and buying cameras at $200.00 each was necessary since our turnout was acceptable. Alligood still needed a voter ID, such as a valid driver's license or a current bill to prove residency and citizenship.

The Michigan "lawsuit claims the 2018 and 2022 state constitutional amendments regulating the times, places, and manner of federal elections are legally null and void." 1

The U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 4 (the Elections Clause), requires the state legislature to regulate the times, places, and manner of federal elections. However, Michigan’s constitutional amendments (Proposal 3 of 2018 and Proposal 2 of 2022) bypassed the state legislature and, in doing so, usurped the legislature’s federally mandated constitutional authority. 2

Michigan Senator Jonathan Lindsey (R), one of the legislator plaintiffs, claimed the progressives tried for years to remove the legislative safeguards to voting and finally achieved it in the 2018 and 2022 2lections. The Progressives took it to the ballot box for a vote and fooled the electorate into voting for election changes when the voters did not have the right to change the laws. This matter is in the legislature's purview, just as it is in the US Congress and the Georgia Legislature.

Representative Steve Carra, a plaintiff, and Chair of the Michigan House Freedom Caucus, agreed. "The founders of this great republic put regulating elections into the hands of the state legislatures, so changes to the election process will undergo a deliberative and thoughtful process by the people's elected representatives." 3

rights in 2018 and 2022 and continue to do so," said Erick Kaardal, an attorney with Mohrman, Kaardal & Erickson, P.A., representing the plaintiffs. "The election officials enabled these legally unauthorized amendments to the state constitution to eviscerate the state legislators' federal rights to participate in law-making to determine the times, places, and manner of federal elections." 4

By comparing the two cases of election fraud or tampering without the vote of the state legislatures, we see the attempts to warp the playing field in favor of the liberal candidates. Both states have changed and strengthened voting laws, but the damage was done, and Joe Biden is President.

Why do the Liberals spend so much time, energy, and money on changing how we do things in America? This is part of their agenda to "fundamentally change America." Part of this is to stop, cripple and destroy Donald Trump, who will overturn the gravy train, bring the Democrats to justice, and lose their power and pricy incomes.

If you want more information on the out-of-state funding for this election fraud, please read Patty McMurray's article in the Georgia Pundit below.
